Nested atop steep cliffs, Gourdon is a tiny fortified medieval village that offers one of the most mesmerising views of the coast line – from Nice all the way to Théoule. The charming village, with its narrow streets and traditional craftsmanship has managed to retain its authentic flair. The 12th century Roman church and the chateau with its beautiful gardens are worth a visit. Voted one of France's most beautiful villages, Gourdon and the surrounding Loup valley is a renowned spot for hikers, cyclists, thrill seeking paragliders, go-kart pilots and canyoning aficionados.
