Description: Cotignac exudes authentic charm, with its twice-weekly craft markets, Sunday flea markets and festivals such as Les Toiles du Sud and the Festival du Théâtre sous les Étoiles. The cobbled streets and stone houses reveal a Provencal heritage, while the troglodyte dwellings nestling in the cliffs add a unique touch. The village is home to around 2,100 inhabitants, nestling at the foot of an 80-metre-high tufa cliff, crowned by the remains of a mediaeval castle. Cotignac joined the prestigious club of France's most beautiful villages in October 2022.
